the second mörk release finally gets out of the blocks, helmed by italian analogue explorer raw m.t. with some seriously heavy cuts under his belt, we coaxed him out of hiding for a varied 12- of low-slung house, dreamy beachside dreams and hammering arpeggiated techno, cut deep and heavy over two sides of wax. la duna is a deep 4am roller. murky and shrouded in analogue warmth, it steadily aches and strains through passages of pad filled delirium whilst the percussive echoes of lost nights swirl and clatter. untitled is a beachside dreamy acid number. steady slow grooves undulate under tender vocals with slowly yearning pads and deep acid bringing the light out of the darkness. flipping over to the b-side, strike ups the ante with some seriously driving war-game techno, drenching in arpeggiated madness and washed over with frenetic acid lines.

entitled narita, the release is inspired by, and dedicated to, japan, and the tracks are a collage of all the experiences and emotions the producer has picked up there whilst on his travels. this release was also due to be the 44th on the label (which has now made it up to number 67) and so has clearly been cooking for a long time. once again it proves the man behind it to be focused on stripped back and hypnotic grooves, shadowy textures and subliminal synths that are abstract and truly heady. up first, sleepless is a spooky and hypnotic techno roller with icy pads and rubber drums that roll on like a haunted midnight train burrowning deep into your brain. ebisu is even more reserved, with just a light, skipping kick and tinkling, glassy keys suspending you in a wide open space of abstract atmospheric soun d. on th e flip side, mountain splitter is more urgent and immediate, with nervy pads this time racing alongside woodpecker precision and supple drums. it s heady stuff that really distracts you from the world before finally trance is a wash of grainy white noise and groaning synths that soundtrack a word deep down in the depths of the ocean. svreca is a master of getting deep inside both body and brain and does so in different but captivating ways with all four of these cuts.

milton wrights perfect deep soul classic *keep it up* has always been a top shelf record, everything about it is almost flawless! whether it is miltons silky vocal delivery, the incessant guitar driven back beat or the total space funk vibe of his omnipresent arp-2600 synthesizer this record has it all. originally released on tk discos more soul and funk orientated alston label which was home to many legendary artists and records, this 1975 sunshine classic never fails to make people move. a classic rare groove indeed. *the silence that you keep* takes up side-b, a jazzy, flute driven love song that again features milton s perfect voice and some fantastic arrangement. a real gem of a record, with the original 45 changing hands for over £100 a time in used condition. this is the first time *keep it up* has been re-issued in its original 45 rpm format with the original alston label artwork. it has been re-mastered, re-pressed and made available again with the permission of tk disco / alston records, miami florida, usa.

the next release to be available on 10inch vinyl in late january will be limited to 250 copies and features one track on each side, both of which take you back in time. the ingenious >strictly rhythm< by monsieur cedric fuses deep house with breakbeats and acid. steve frisco pays tribute to a well-known truly legendary new york house music label with the aptly titled utterly tantalizing >nu groove< which, to make it short, a is sheer deep house bliss.
